Sherwood Park’s four game losing skid has come to an end, in a big way.
Hosting the Drumheller Dragons, who were coming in on a five game win streak, the Cru stepped up to the challenge. Bode Hagan opened the scoring just four minutes in on the powerplay, Zac Maxwell added another, and Bruce MacGregor connected with Mitchell Joss for Joss’ 9th of the season with some pretty passing. Jaron Desnoyers emerged in the second, potting two goals to put Sherwood Park up 5-0 and chasing starting goalie Eric Ward from the net. Backup Garrett Fuller made all 10 saves in relief, but Gus Bylin stopped all 30 puck thrown his way for his first AJHL shutout.
The Crusaders get a few days off before hosting the Lloydminster Bobcats to open the month of December.
