Carter Gylander Wins Crusaders Top Goaltender Award

Carter Gylander has been named the Sherwood Park Crusaders? Top Goaltender in recognition of his performance during the regular season.

Gylander, 19, has added yet another personal accolade to his trophy cabinent this season. Earlier this season, Gylander was named the AJHL’s Top Goaltender and Top Team Goaltender, winning the latter alongside his counterpart Jordan Frey.

The Colgate University commit had a .924% save percentage this season, grabbing three shutouts in the process. He has also been one of the strongest performers in the AJHL Viterra North Division, ranking first in wins and third in save percentage.

The shot-stopper attended the 2019 NHL Draft last summer, and he was selected in the seventh round (191st overall) by the Detroit Red Wings.
