Crusaders Acquire Berlin

The Sherwood Park Crusaders added to their Goaltending depth chart Friday by acquiring 1998 born Goaltender Matthew Berlin from the Drayton Valley Thunder.

Standing at 6 foot 3 205 pounds, Berlin spent last season between the Western Hockey League and Alberta Junior Hockey League.  After apearing in six games with the WHL's Spokane Cheifs, Berlin appeared in 18 Games with Drayton Valley in the second half of the season with a record of 5-8-0 and one shutout with a 4.49 G.A.A and a .879 SV%.

“Matt brings size, quickness and we like his compete level when he's in the net.  We are excited for him to contribute and be a part of our hockey team moving forward.”  Says Crusaders Head Coach Adam Manah.

The Edmonton, AB Native appeared in two WHL Games this season with Spokane and the Seattle Thunderbirds.
