SHERWOOD PARK, AB: The Sherwood Park Crusaders are pleased to announce the acquisition of forward Ethan Johnson (’04) from the Edmundston Blizzard of the MJAHL in exchange for future considerations.
“We feel very fortunate to have acquired a player like Ethan,” commented Crusaders general manager Adam Sergerie. “He is an 18-year-old with two years of junior experience, who averaged almost a point per game last season and it is not everyday that players like Ethan are available.”
“Ethan has a high IQ, skates very well, and plays in the middle of the ice,” Sergerie continued. “We believe Ethan has the ability to be a great player in our league and will be a good fit for the core group of guys that we already have.”
“Ethan has the tools to become a good player in the Alberta Junior League,” echoed head coach Evan McFeeters. He is an intelligent player who played an important role as a 17-year-old and we expect him to take another jump as an 18-year-old with our club”
Johnson has spent the past two seasons with the Blizzard. In his 47 games in the MJAHL, the Quispamsis, NB native has collected a total of 34 points (5 goals, 29 assists).
The Crusaders would like to welcome Ethan and the entire Johnson family to the organization.
