SHERWOOOD PARK, AB – The Crusaders have acquired '97 defenceman Brendan Kallis from the Steinbach Pistons of the MJHL for future considerations.
Kallis, 20, played in 59 games last season with the Grande Prairie Storm, scoring 2-20-22. This represents his second stint with the Crusaders, playing a singluar game wth the Cru in 2013/2014 and scoring a single point.
Kallis has also spent time with the Drayton Valley Thunder and the Lloydminster Bobcats of the AJHL.
“(Kallis) is a solid defenceman that is a very good defender in his own end and can add some offence,” said Crusadsers general manager Kyle Chase. “His leadership will be his biggest asset to a young defence corp.”
The 6'1 defender is expected to take the ice for the first time tomorrow in the Crusasders intrasquad game at the Sherwood Park Arena.
