Crusaders acquire Lovsin from Camrose

Sherwood Park, AB: The Sherwood Park Crusaders have acquired forward Michael Lovsin (03) from the Camrose Kodiaks in exchange for future considerations.

“Opportunity to acquire someone like Michael don’t happen often,” said General Manager Adam Sergerie. “He’s a player that has been in a league since he is 16 so he’ll bring some experience to our lineup.”

Lovsin is a Stony Plain, Alberta, native who has played in the Alberta Junior Hockey League since the 2019-20 season. He’s played in 86 games, all for the Camrose Kodiaks, and has scored 10 goals and 28 points.

“I know him from coaching him at the Alberta Cup (2018),” continued Sergerie. “He’s a high character kid, who’s versatile can play all three forward position, and he’ll help us on the power play   and penalty kill. We are really excited to add him to our line up and for him to be a part of our young core.””¨

The Crusaders are excited to welcome Michael and the rest of the Lovsin family to organization.

Fans can watch Lovsin and the rest of the Crusaders play tonight at the Randy Rosen Rink versus the Blackfalds Bulldogs. The puck drops at 7:15 p.m, and tickets are available here.
