Crusaders Acquire Luiten

The Sherwood Park Crusaders have traded 19 year old Forward Dayton Reinboldt to the Dauphin Kings of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League for 20 year old Forward Ryan Luiten.

Luiten, a familiar face to the Alberta Junior Hockey League, spent last season with the Brooks Bandits, scoring 23 goals and 50 points in 60 games for the AJHL champions.

“Ryan is a strong two way centerman that has produced offensively this year, as well as last year in Brooks.” Crusader Head Coach Tim Fragle said.

Luiten, a native of Anchorage, Alaska, had 10 points in 12 games for the Kings this season.

Dauphin, will get Reinboldt, who had 10 points in 22 games for the Crusaders this year.

Sherwood Park is on the road Saturday night in Spruce Grove, and hosts Drumheller Sunday afternoon at the Sherwood Park Arena.
