Crusaders Acquire Nick Bowman

SHERWOOD PARK, AB – The Sherwood Park Crusaders are proud to announce the addition of '00 forward Nick Bowman to the roster.

“We are excited to have Nick join our group as a Crusader,” said Crusaders general manager Kyle Chase of the acquisition. “We have watched Nick play a lot of hockey from Bantam AAA to his last few years with the Oil Kings. Nick is a great player and a solid young man that will strengthen our team both on and off the ice. (We're) looking forward to his leadership in all areas!”

Bowman, 18, joins the organization after splitting the 2018/2019 season thus far between the Moose Jaw Warriors and the Kootenay Ice of the WHL. In his 20 WHL games this season, Bowman registered 2-1-3. The Sherwood Park native began his career with the Edmonton Oil Kings in the 2016/2017 season after being drafted in the 6th round (115th overall) in the WHL Bantam Draft.

Throughout his junior career, the Sherwood Park product has registered 15 goals and 14 assists for 29 points over 137 games.

Crusaders fans can see Bowman in his first career AJHL game this Friday as the Crusaders take on the Whitecourt Wolverines. Tickets for the fan bus embarking to the game can be purchased online. The game can also be viewed at the Crusaders home away from home, Average Joes.
