Crusaders Add Sydlowski from the Red Deer Rebels

Sherwood Park, AB: The Sherwood Park Crusaders are proud to announce the addition of forward Blake Sydlowski ('01) from the Red Deer Rebels of the WHL.

“We're excited to have Blake back in our program,” said General Manager Kyle Chase. “He's going to bring more size to our group on the ice, but off the ice, we're adding an excellent person that'll bring great character to our room.”

Sydlowski signed a letter of intent with the Crusaders in the spring of 2018 but spent the 2018-19 season with the Rebels. The St Albert, AB, native appeared in 35 games last season scoring 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) as a rookie. He played his minor hockey in St Albert and in 2017, while playing for the St Albert Minor Midget Flyers, Sydlowski was named the AMMHL Most Valuable Player.

Fans can see Sydlowski and the rest of the Crusaders in action on Friday, versus the Whitecourt Wolverines, and Saturday, against the Fort McMurray Oil Barons, at the Sherwood Park Arena. Tickets for the games are available here.
