Without a win in their last three, Sherwood Park put an end to that in a big way in their last contest of the season against the Lloydminster Bobcats.
Just under five minutes into the first, Matthew Swanson opened the scoring, but Ryan Arnold tied the game nine minutes later off a point shot from Caelum Dick to close the first period 1-1. From there, new aquistion Wyatt Marlow fed Roman Cherniak for his first AJHL goal, and a rocket one timer from Cade Christenson on a pass from Juliano Santalucia brought the Cru up two. Swanson would connect again a few minutes later, but Carmelo Crandell reinstated the two goal lead with 36 seconds left in the frame. Swanson would go on to complete the hat trick, but Caelum Dick and Logan Hauer tallied one each to send the Crusaders over the Bobcats by a score of 6-3.
Sherwood Park returns home to host the Tyler Bates and the Blackfalds Bulldogs on Friday before heading to Viking, Alberta to face off against the Camrose Eagles on Saturday.
