After a forgettable 8-2 loss to the Lloydminster Bobcats, the Sherwood Park Crusaders headed to Grande Prairie to take on the Storm.
Looking to take advantage of a struggling Storm squad, the Crusaders outshot the Storm 10-6 in the first period but goals from Benjamin Keon on the powerplay and Cameron Vassos put Grande Prairie on top 2-0.
Two more from Keon and Vassos in the second, and the Storm never looked back. Marek Pocherewny made the start but was pulled, and Gus Bylin made all 14 saves in the relief effort.
Sherwood Park also showed a bit more of their rough side and perhaps igniting a rivalry, getting into two fights; first, Logan Hauer takes on Kayden Skulmoski, and Brett Ursulak gets into a tilt with Zach Brooks.
The Crusaders look to bounce back in their next contest against the Whitecourt Wolverines.
