The Sherwood Park Crusaders continue to chase Lloydminster for 6th place in the Viterra North division.
Bruce MacGregor helped give the team a strong start, putting the Cru ahead on the powerplay just under six minutes into the first. However, former Crusader Tanner Fincaryk tied the game up five seconds later on a rainbow pass from Mack Stewart. The Bobcats would contiue to pour it on, scoring four goals in the second, including one more from Fincaryk and Zafir Rawji. Carter Chorney struck on the powerplay to bring the team within three, but Lloydminster would ice it, courtesy of Jared Miller and the Crusaders headed home with 6-2 loss. Gus Bylin made the start, stopping 35 of 41 shots in the loss.
Sherwood Park now hosts the Fort McMurray Oil Barons on Friday, December 17th in their last home game before the holiday break, and heads to Whitecourt on Saturday before coming back on December 29th.
