Crusaders end season series with Pontiacs with a win

Sherwood Park continues their postseason push, and with four games remaining heading into Wednesday, every contest matters.

Venturing into Bonnyville to take on the Pontiacs and end the season set, the first goal came courtesy of Roman Cherniak from Cade Christenson and Bruce MacGregor (each with two assist nights). Charlie Russell tied the game with just under three to play in the first, but Ryan Arnold tallied his 6th of the season with 50 seconds remaining. From there, Zac Maxwell and Evan Arnold both added one for the Cru in the second period, heading into the final frame up 4-1. Matteo Giampa cut the lead to two just under two minutes in, but a breakaway from Wyatt Marlow for his first as a Crusader iced the game and gave Sherwood Park the 5-2 victory.

The Cru return to home ice Friday night as they take on the Whitecourt Wolverines.
