Sherwood Park, AB: The Sherwood Park Crusaders are proud to announce the addition of forward Kyle Crnkovic (’02) on loan from the Saskatoon Blades.
Crnkovic is a Chestermere native who has spent the past two full seasons with the Saskatoon Blades of the WHL after being drafted 10th overall in the 2016 WHL draft. He’s played in 118 WHL games scoring 32 goals and 95 points. In ten playoffs games in 2019, Crnkovic scored two goals and four points. Last season, he had a career year scoring 21 goals and 64 points in 63 games and was second on the team in scoring.
In 2019, Crnkovic was a member of the Team Canada Black team for the World Under 17 Hockey Challenge in Medicine Hat and Swift Current. He finsiehd the tournament with four goals and five points before his team was elimanted in the quarterfinals.
The organization would like to welcome Kyle and the Crnkovic family to the Crusaders.
Fans can catch Crnkovic and the rest of the Crusaders in action tonight at Average Joe’s Sportsbar as they take on the Drayton Valley Thunder. Puck drops at 7:00 p.m.
