Crusaders hold off late rush from Bobcats for second straight win

Coming off a huge 5-0 win over the Drumheller Dragons, the Sherwood Park Crusaders looked to hold their momentun against the Lloydminster Bobcats.

Just over five minutes in, Carmelo Crandell opened the scoring with a shot that found its way through several bodies. Mitchell Joss cracked open the lead with a pair of goals in the second period to make it 3-0 Crusaders, but a late goal from Quinton Gove shrunk the lead. Just 94 seconds into the final frame, Chase Visser brought the Bobcats within one. Gus Bylin shut the door the rest of the way, making 33 saves en route to a 3-2 victory.

The Crusaders now head to Vermillion, Alberta to host the Bonnyville Pontiacs after a 5-2 loss in their previos matchup. Puck drops at 7 p.m. on HockeyTV.
