SHERWOOD PARK, AB – The Sherwood Park Crusaders had the number seven ranked team in the Canadian Junior Hockey League on the ropes until 4:40 remained in the third Period, then the Fort McMurray Oil Barons were able to turn on another gear and pull away with a 5-3 win. The comeback win by the MOB consisted of five unanswered goals including four in the third period, two of them from Oil Barons leading scorer Will Conley.
The night was highlighted with debuts of two players for the Crusaders and Oil Barons, as the two teams made a deal earlier in the week, seeing Forward Merritt Oszytko sent to the Oil Barons in exchange for Ryan Cox.
Both players scored in Friday's game.
The Crusaders will look to snap their five game losing streak Sunday afternoon when they travel to Lloydminster.
