Whitecourt, AB – It was another tough night for the Sherwood Park Crusaders as they dropped their third game in a row and second to the Whitecourt Wolverines. Once again, the team spotted the Wolverines a 3-0 lead and were faced with an uphill battle for the latter half of the hockey game.
Granted the Crusaders were banged up going into the game having two affiliate Defensemen suit up for the team as Connor Hart and Kyle Fulton made there AJHL debuts.
The team lost Brandon Wallis as well during the game after the second year Crusader scored the team's only goal Tuesday night at 13:01 of the second period.
Goaltender Brandon Vogel made 35 saves in the loss and was named the Viterra Star of the Game for the Crusaders. Forward Estian Coetzee was the Viterra Star of the Game for the Wolverines as he had a pair of goals.
The Crusaders get right back on the horse Wednesday night as the travel to Grande Prairie to face the Storm for the first time this season.
