On this episode of Crusaders Pregame, host Dawson Petryshen recaps the loss to the Lloydminster Bobcats, and previews the final two games before the holiday break: the Fort McMurray Oil Barons, and Whitecourt Wolverines.
After a big 4-1 win over the Drumheller Dragons, the Crusaders hoped to continue to gain ground on the Bobcats. Bruce MacGregor opened the scoring just five and a half minutes in, but on the very next play, former Crusader Tanner Fincaryk ties the game at one apiece. Lloydminster would then erupt for four goals in the second; Carter Chorney would beat Kolby Thornton for the team’s second powerplay goal of the game but it wasn’t enough as Jared Miller added one more and the Bobcats walked away with a 6-2 decision.
Dawson also had a chance to speak with head coach Jeff Woywitka ahead of this weekend’s matchups, about where the team is at and what they need to do to keep winning.
