On this episode of Crusaders Pregame, host Dawson Petryshen recaps the last couple wins the Cru have been stringing together, and looks ahead to the second matchup un seven days against the Lloydminster Bobcats.
A back and forth affair on Saturday, as the Grande Prairie Storm came to town. Goals were traded back and forth through the first, totaling two a side, including a powerplay goal from Logan Hauer. Cam Vassos almost had the lone marker of the second, but Carter Chorney had a response with 45 seconds to play in the frame. Not to go down quietly, Grande Prairie took the lead yet again but Brett Ursulak struck back halfway through the 3rd to tie things up yet again. Regulation solved nothing, and 38 seconds into overtime, Tyler Bates sent the Cru over the Storm, by a 5-4 decision.
Dawson also had a chance to speak with forward Levi Fesyk before tonight’s matchup on how he’s secured more consistent lineup spots, and how the team has performed as of late.
