On this episode of Crusaders Pregame, hosts Zach Marks and Dawson Petryshen recap the spirited loss to the Bonnyville Pontiacs and preview the Crusaders’ return home against the Drumheller Dragons.
Perhaps a bit of relief for Sherwood Park to get away from the Randy Rosen Rink for a game, as they had lost three straight games to close out their home stand. Mitchell Joss opened the scoring in Bonnyville and Carmelo Crandell potted his first in 10 appearances, but quick responses from the Pontiacs sent the teams into the first intermission tied. After that, Pontiacs goaltender Bodee Weiss shut the door, and Bonnyville walked away with a 5-2 victory, handing the Cru their fourth straight loss.
Dawson had a chance to speak with the goal scorer Crandell before tonight’s matchup on how his game has developed this season, and what the team needs to do to break the slump.
