On this episode of Crusaders Pregame, hosts Zach Marks and Dawson Petryshen recap the shootout loss in Whitecourt, and preview the weekend back to back against the Okotoks Oilers and Olds Grizzlys.
Following a late win against the Grande Prairie Storm, the Crusaders headed into Whitecourt for a midweek matchup against the Wolverines. Austin Cook opened the scoring just a couple minutes in, but headed into the first intermission tied. Mitchell Joss got his fourth of the season in between two Wolverines goals, and Sherwood Park suffered a two goal deficit early in the third thanks to Jaxon Dube’s first of the year. Not to be outdone, Cale Ashcroft ripped home a powerplay marker and Ryan Arnold tied the game with just over a minute to go. Unfortunately overtime solved nothing and the Cru were scoreless in the shootout, taking home just one point.
Dawson also spoke with Tyler Bates on his return to the lineup, and the aforementioned Arnold on the team going forward.
