On this episode of Crusaders Pre-Game, hosts Zach Marks and Dawson Petryshen recap Sherwood Park’s performance at the AJHL Showcase, and look ahead to their next matchup against the Lloydminster Bobcats.
The Crusaders had their work cut out for them in Saturday’s matchup against the host Brooks Bandits, and eventually fell short by a score of 4-2. Evan Arnold got himself in the goal column for the first time this year, and Gus Bylin made 33 saves, but the Bandits proved to be too much.
However, the team bounced back on Sunday against the Drumheller Dragons, taking a comeback 5-4 win in the shootout. Dawson had a chance to speak with forward Zac Maxwell, who got his first two on the season in the affair, to catch up and get a closer look at the past weekend.
Dawson also spoke with coach and general manager Adam Manah on how the team is shaping up a month into the season, and how he would like to see it moving forward.
The Crusaders continue their eight game road trip into Lloydminster against the Bobcats, and hope to build on their successes from the Showcase.
