Crusaders Shutout by Saints

SPRUCE GROVE, AB – The Sherwood Park Crusaders had their losing streak pushed to eight games on Wednesday night as they fell 6-0 to the Spruce Grove Saints on the road.

Saints Goaltender Nolan Kent made 18 saves en route to his second straight shutout in his third game since since returning from injury sustained in late October.

The Crusaders found themselves down early, allowing the opening goal as Austin Parmiter scored with 32 seconds into the hockey game as the Saints would score twice in each period.

Sherwood Park failed to score on 18 shots toward Kent, including six power play opportunites, four of them coming in the second period.

The Crusaders will look to end their season high losing streak Friday when they travel to Bonnyville to take on the Pontiacs for the fifth time this season.
