Sherwood Park, AB: The Sherwood Park Crusaders are proud to announce the signing of goaltender Gustave Bylin (2002) for the 2020-21 season.
Bylin, 18, joins the Crusaders from the South Kent Academy in Connecticut.
?Gus is a high-end goalie that we zoned in on some time ago, and we are so excited for him to commit to the Crusaders organization,? said General Manager, Kyle Chase. ?He?s a big 6?4 athletic goaltender who has a similar form to the likes of Matt Tomkins, Tommy Nixon, Matt Berlin and Carter Gylander, which says a lot.?
The 6?4?, 185 lbs goaltender played in 38 regular season games for South Kent Academy. In those 38 games, the Montclair, New Jersey, native posted a 2.81 goals-against average along with a 0.903 save percentage. Bylin was also named 2019-20 BEAST U18 Third Team.
Bylin is also ranked 18th amongst North American goaltenders by NHL Central Scouting for the upcoming 2020 NHL Entry Draft.
