The Sherwood Park Crusaders are proud to announce the LOI signings of 2001-born forward Kaden Bryant and 2001-born defenceman Mathew Shatsky from the Winnipeg Wild Midget AAA of the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League.
“Kaden (Bryant) and Mathew (Shatsky) are two highly touted prospects,” said General Manager Kyle Chase. “We are extremely excited to have them both as part of our Crusaders family”.
Bryant, 6’3 185lbs, finished with 89 points (45 goals, 44 assists) in 45 games for the Winnipeg Wild in his final year with the program. His 45 goals led the league and were the most by a player since 2009. Also, Bryant, a Winnipeg, Manitoba, native, trailed to only one player in the league’s scoring race as he finished with 89. In the postseason, he continued his scoring form with 19 points (7 goals, 12 assists) in 11 playoff games.
Shatsky, 6’0 180lbs, was the captain of the Winnipeg Wild and one of the highest scoring defenceman in the league. He hit a career high in points with 35 after scoring 7 goals and 28 assists in 44 games for the Wild. The Winnipeg native played an essential part in his team's success in the postseason with 8 points (1 goal, 7 assists) in 11 games. Shatsky was also named the MMHL Defenceman of the Year and named to the MMHL First All-Star Team.
