Sherwood Park, AB: The Sherwood Park Crusaders are proud to announce the signing of 2000-born defenceman Ty Ettinger.
?Ty (Ettinger) is a solid two-way defenceman with tons of experience,? said General Manager Kyle Chase. ?We?re so excited to have him as part of our organization going forward. We want to welcome Ty and his entire family to the Crusaders organization.?
Ettinger joins the Crusaders with 121 games of junior hockey experience after spending time in the WHL and AJHL. The 6?1? 190 lbs blueline was drafted 96th overall in the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft and spent time with Brandon Wheat Kings, Vancouver Giants, Winnipeg Ice and Victoria Royals. He also played 33 games for the Fort McMurray Oil Barons in the AJHL. In those 121 games, the Ardrossan native has scored 27 points (5 goals, 23 assists) and accumulated 196 PIMs.
Ettinger also played his minor hockey career in the Sherwood Park Kings program.
