SHERWOOD PARK, AB – The Sherwood Park Crusaders are pleased to announce the signing of 2003-born forward Ty Mueller to a Letter of Intent for the 2019/2020 season.
“Ty is skilled centerman who was a point a game player as a 15yr old in AMHL,” said Crusaders general manager Kyle Chase of the signing. “We are extremely excited to sign to an LOI. We would like to welcome Ty to the Crusader family.”
Mueller, 16, joins the Crusaders from the Airdrie CFR Bisons of the AMHL. While with the Bisons, Mueller was a point-per-game player, scoring 10 goals and 24 assists in 34 games en route to winning the club's MVP award. Before his time in the AMHL, the 5'10 forward scored 73 points in 65 games with the Airdrie Xtreme Bantam AAA program. At the Bisons year-end awards, Mueller was named the team's rookie of the year, top scorer, top defensive forward and along with the already mentioned MVP award.
In March, Mueller committed to the University of Omaha-Nebraska Mavericks (NCAA) for the 2022/2023 season.
The Crusaders are thrilled to welcome Ty to the Crusaders and are excited to have him join the organization.
