Crusaders Snap Losing Skid

SHERWOOD PARK, AB – The Sherwood Park Crusaders were able to snap a couple of streaks Sunday afternoon with a 5-3 victory over the Grande Prairie Storm.  The now 10-13-2 Crusaders broke a five game drought at the Sherwood Park Arena and a four game losing streak overall.

In a game that had four lead changes, Sherwood Park was able to overcome a strong Grande Prairie offense that put 43 pucks on netminder Brandon Vogel.

Sherwood Park got excellent outings from the likes of Forwards Dylan Stewart, Ryan Cox and Erik Miller.  Stewart had a pair of goals while Cox had two assists and the game winning goal at 14:41 of the third period, and Miller had three assists, giving him 10 points in his last six games.

Ty Readman made his return to the Crusader lineup after missing the last five contests, the Northern Michigan committ picked up an assist in his return.

The Crusaders will have four days off before their next game, which once again, is against the Grande Prairie Storm Friday at the Sherwood Park Arena.
