Sherwood Park, AB: The Sherwood Park Crusaders split their weekend series against the Camrose Kodiaks.
On Saturday night, the Crusaders walked into the EnCana Arena and dominated the Kodiaks. Sherwood Park got goals from seven different players while en route to a 7-0 victory. The goals came from Carmelo Crandell, Jaron Desnoyers, Tyler Bates, Logan Hauer, Ryan Arnold, Bruce MacGregor, and Blake Sydlowski. Gus Bylin was rock solid between the pipes, turning aside all 32 shots he faced between the pipes.
Camrose walked away from the Randy Rosen Rink the next day with a 3-1 winner in a physical matchup. Despite allowing three goals, Marek Pocherewny was excellent for the Crusaders, making plenty of big saves. Blake Sydlowski got the lone goal for Sherwood Park.
Next up, the Crusaders host the Blackfalds Bulldogs for the first time at the Randy Rosen Rink. That game is this Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. All tickets are available for $5 at the door.
