The Sherwood Park Crusaders will look to end their longest losing streak of the season at 4 games Wednesday night as the welcome the 6-9-4 Olds Grizzlys to the Sherwood Park Arena.
The Cru are coming off a back and forth affair against the Spruce Grove Saints that saw the Saints edge the Cru in overtime 4-3 last Saturday Night on home ice.
Dillon Massie led the way offensively for the Cru, with a goal and an assist. Jake Mykitiuk scored in his return for the Crusaders after missing time with an upper body injury.
The Crusaders learned Wednesday that they will be without Goaltender Tommy Nixon, Forwards Andrew Taverner and Nicholas Jones for another 12 days, as those 3 were successful in making Team Canada West for the upcoming World Junior A Challenge in Yartmouth, Nova Scotia.
The Cru go up against a similar team to them in terms of their play the last 10 games. Both the Grizzlys and Crusaders have 3 wins in their last 10 and do not want to fall behind in their respective divisions.
Sherwood Park will have to contain one of the leagues leading scorers in the game Wednesday night. Recent Robert Morris Uuniversity commit, Spencer Dorowicz is 3rd in league scoring with 27 points and leads the AJHL with 16 goals.
