Former Sherwood Park Crusader Goaltender and Canadian National Women’s Team member received the silver medal in Women’s Ice Hockey at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games on Thursday in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
Team Canada fell 3-2 in a shootout as the United States claimed their first Olympic gold medal in 20 years.
2018 was the third Olympic Games for the Goaltender who dawned the Crusader logo from 2002 to 2005 and also her third Olympic medal after claiming gold in 2010 and 2014.
Although not the results the country was hoping for, the Crusaders are proud of Shannon and the entire Canadian Women’s Team!
