Former Crusaders Signs With AHL’s IceHogs

Former Sherwood Park Crusader Goaltender Matt Tomkins has signed with the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.  Tomkins spent the last four seasons with the Ohio State Buckeyes of the Big Ten Conference in the NCAA.  

The IceHogs are the AHL affiliate of the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks, who drafted Tomkins in 2012 after a steller rookie season in 2011-12 with the Crusaders.
