Sherwood Park, AB – Sherwood Park Crusaders forward Garrett Clegg has been named to the Viterra (North) All-Rookie Team.
In his first campaign with the Crusaders, Clegg scored 32 points (19 goals, 13 assists) in 59 games and finished sixth in team scoring. The rookie winger finished tied for fourth in goals by a first-year player, fourth in points by 2000-born players, and fifth in points by rookies in the North Division.
“There are a lot of great players in this league, and it’s a huge honour to be selected to this team,” Garrett Clegg said. “I couldn’t have gotten there without my teammates and coaches helping me out a long way.”
The St Albert native becomes the fourteenth and the first since Ty Readman in 2016 to be selected to the team. Other Crusaders' to have received this accolade are:
