Sherwood Park, AB: The Sherwood Park Crusaders rookie goaltender, Carter Gylander, has been ranked as the 12th North American Goaltender on the most recent NHL Central Scouting midterm rankings for the 2019 NHL Draft.
Gylander is having an excellent rookie season with the Crusaders, and in 16 games has an 11-3-0 record, 2,66 GAA, and a 0.908 SV%. The 6’5”, 171 lbs, Beaumont, AB, native, also has two shutouts to his name which is tied for third-most in the AJHL. Back in November, he became the fifth Crusader to commit to an NCAA Division l school when he announced he will be taking his talents to the Colgate University Raiders.
Gylander will be next in action on Tuesday night in Okotoks, AB, at the CJHL Top Prospect game representing Team West. Then, his Crusaders will be back on the ice on Wednesday in Bonnyville.
