Healey Named Top D-Man

The Alberta Junior Hockey League announced its 2012-2013 award winners, and for the second year in a row a Crusader has won an award. 


The Crusaders would like congratulate Defenceman Josh Healey on receiving the W.G. (Bill) Scott Memorial Trophy as the leagues Most Outstanding Defenceman. The award is given annually to the defensive player who demonstrates the greatest all-round ability in the position throughout the season.


Healey, the 2nd year Crusader has enjoyed a whirl wind of a season that included a Silver Medal with Team Canada West at The World Junior A Challenge, a commitment to Ohio State University and a nomination for Defenseman of The Year in the Alberta Junior Hockey League.  Healey lead the Crusaders in scoring among Defensemen with 10 goals, including 3 game winners and 23 Points on the season.
