Hurley Signs With Hometown Team

Sherwood Park, AB: The Sherwood Park Crusaders are proud to announce the signing of forward Ty Hurley(2004) from the Phoenix Jr Coyotes program for the 2021-22 season.

“Ty (Hurley) is a smaller skilled forward that we have been very high on for a few years,” said Head Coach Adam Manah. He has a high hockey IQ, thinks the game very well and is a dynamic and creative offensive game.” He’s another guy that works extremely hard and is a player that is constantly wanting to improve his game.

Hurley is a 5’5″, 126 lb forward from Sherwood Park, Alberta. He spent last season playing in the United States with the Phoenix Jr Coyotes U16 AAA team. In 17 games for the Coyotes, he scored two goals and eight points. Before going south of the border, Hurley played right here in Sherwood Park. In the 2019/20 season, he was a member of the Sherwood Park Kings U18 AAA roster and, in 29 games, scored four goals and 10 points. During his time with the Kings, Hurley played alongside current Crusaders Caelum Dick and Zac Maxwell.

“He’s another guy that works extremely hard and is a player that is constantly wanting to improve his game. We are looking forward to adding him to our lineup next year,” said Coach Manah.

The Crusaders would like to welcome Ty and the rest of the Hurley family to the organization.
