The Sherwood Park Crusaders have named forward Jacob Franczak as the Coaches Award recipient for the 2019/20 season.
Franczak, 20, has been with the Cru since 2017. He scored 43 points in 53 games this season, taking his AJHL career total to 90 points. His best game from the 2019/20 season came against the Drayton Valley Thunder on Jan.19 after he scored twice and assisted twice.
The centre has been a clinical finisher in some big games, and he has gained a reputation for being a goal poacher. His precision, patience and accuracy have allowed linemates Tanner Fincaryk and Jarred White to connect with him and to score goals.
Prior to joining the Crusaders, Franczak played all levels of hockey for Edmonton?s South Side Athletics Club.
The organization wishes to congratulate Jacob on winning this award and for his contribution to the team.
