The Sherwood Park Crusaders have snapped their losing skid at three games, at the expense of ending Grande Prairie’s mini two game win streak.
Sherwood Park led possession through the majority of the first, and Carter Chorney netted his first as a Crusader on the powerplay, but headed into the first intermission tied. Bruce MacGregor got a late goal, again on the man advantage, to put the Cru up 2-1 heading into the third. The two teams traded goals throughout the contest, and the final frame was no different, but Logan Hauer ripped a shot home to take a 4-3 lead with 37 seconds left in the game, and that is how the final score stood. Gus Bylin made the start, stopping 25 of the 28 shots thrown his way, making several key saves in the process.
The Cru now head out for one more before beginning a five game homestand, visting the Whitecourt Wolverines on Wednesday, November 10th.
