Connor Hart has spent the last two years with the SSAC Boston Pizza Athletics Midget AAA team of the AMHL. Hart was the captain of the Athletics in 2018 and set career highs in all offensive categories – 7 goals, 21 points.
Crusader fans may be familiar with Hart. In the 2017/18 season, Hart was called up nine times from Midget AAA to the Junior A level. During his short time with the team, he contributed well offensively scoring two points.
Hart signed his letter of intent with the Crusaders on June 1st.

When did you start playing hockey?
I started playing hockey when I was at the age of 5
Do you have any pre-game rituals?
I like to stretch and always do six sprints for about 30 yards each before every game to get the legs going.
What is your favourite hockey memory?
My favourite memory would have to be winning gold in the Arizona Cactus Cup in Bantam AA.
Why did you choose the Crusaders?
I chose the Crusaders because I’ve only heard great stories about the organization and their staff. It’s also nice and close to home.
Biggest achievement in your hockey career so far?
My biggest achievement was making the midget AAA team at the age of 15.
What are your hockey goals?
My goals are to make the Crusaders this season even though there is a tough group of guys fighting for spots, them move on to college hockey.
Who's your favourite opponent that you’ve gone up against?
I would have to say that playing against Peyton Krebs was one of my favourite players to play against because he is always a threat as he is so mobile and great puck handler which challenges me.
What do you do when you’re off the ice?
Away from the rink and training for hockey on the weekends I regularly head out to my cabin and go quadding and all that fun stuff.
What's a fun fact about yourself?
During winter on my off days, I’ll go hunting or ice fishing.
