The Sherwood Park Crusaders are proud to announce six members of the organization have earned their invitations to the 2022 World Junior A Challenge selection camp as members of Team Canada West.
Crusaders forward Carmello Crandell, defenceman Tyler Miller and Cade Christensen, as well as goaltender Eric Roest, all earned their selections to the camp, scheduled to take place from December 11th – 18th in Cornwall, Ontario.
Crusaders head coach Evan McFeeters and athletic therapist Josh Armstrong have also earned their selections to the Team Canada West staff.
“We are really proud as an organization that we can send not only 4 players to attend camp, but also have our head coach Evan McFeeters and equipment manager Josh Armstrong be on staff,” commented Crusaders general manager Adam Sergerie. “We feel like our team can only benefit greatly by having our players and staff attend the WJAC.”

“I am incredibly grateful and excited for the opportunity,” stated Crandell on earning his invitation.
“I am very excited to have the opportunity to play the sport I love while representing my country,” Miller echoed.
Said Christenson: “I’m thankful for the invitation to attend the National Junior A selection camp and I’m excited to have an opportunity to represent my country.”
“I am grateful to the league and Hockey Canada for giving me the opportunity to join this talented group of players to compete for a spot on the Canada West team,” finalized Roest. “It’s a huge honour!”
