Rule joins the Crusaders

Sherwood Park, AB: The Sherwood Park Crusaders are proud to announce the signing of forward Josh Rule (2002) from the New Jersey Junior Titans (NAHL) for the 2021-22 season.

“We are thrilled to have Josh a part of our team for the 2021-22 season,” said General Manager and Head Coach Adam Manah. “We signed him last year and unfortunately could not get over the border to play for us with the restrictions that were in place.”

Rule is a 5’11″, 170 lb forward from Lansing, Michigan. Last season, Rule played in the North American Hockey League for the New Jersey Junior Titans. In 17 games for the Titans, the Lansing native scored two goals and finished with four points. Before his time with the Titans, Rule attended Mount St Charles Academy and was a member of their U18 AAA program. In 52 games for Mount St Charles, he scored 18 goals and 42 points while collecting 79 penalty minutes.

“There is so much value to his game,” continued Manah. “His best strength is being how smart he is. His hockey IQ is impressive. Mix that with a solid skillset, scoring touch around the net, and brings an edge to his game. He can adjust his game when it gets heavy and plays a grittier style of game. We are very excited to be adding Josh to our lineup. He will be an important piece to our forward core.

The Crusaders would like to welcome Josh and the rest of the Rule family to the organization.
