Sherwood Park, AB: Carter Savoie (University of Denver) and Arjun Atwal stole the show tonight at the Sherwood Park Arena scoring four points each in a 7-4 win over the Whitecourt Wolverines. Jacob Franczak started what would be a four goal first period with his second of the season. That goal was quickly followed by goals from Will Zapernick (University of Alabama-Huntsville), Atwal, and Savoie which gave the Cru a 4-1 lead heading into the intermission. Savoie would score another one early in the second, but the Wolverines battled back scoring three goals in the period. Sherwood Park secured all the points the third period, however, when Brennan McDonnell scored his first of the season, and Atwal picked up his season.
