The Sherwood Park Crusaders will receive an added boost to their already strong Defensive Core. Defenseman Stephen Shmoorkoff has been assigned to the Crusaders from the Swift Current Broncos of the Western Hockey League. Shmoorkoff spent one season with the Crusaders in 2011-2012 appearing in 41 games with a goal and 4 assists and amassing 144 Minutes in Penalties. Over the past 2 seasons, Shmoorkoff played 99 games in the WHL with the Edmonton Oil Kings and Swift Current Broncos, scoring 1 goal, 6 assists and 108 PIM’s.
