President of Operations, General Manager and Assistant Coach: Adam Sergerie
Adam Sergerie recently joined the Crusaders as the teams inaugural President of Operations. Sergerie began his career in hockey on the ice, playing four years for the Selkirk Steelers of the MJHL. After a brief stint with the IHL’s Muskegon Fury, Sergerie attended Lakehead University, playing five seasons with the University’s Men’s Hockey Team and captaining them for his final two. Sergerie concluded his on-ice career playing two years of hockey in Germany for Oberliga East, where he was recognized as the league’s Player of the Year in back-to-back seasons. While at Lakehead University, Sergerie earned both his Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education degrees and began teaching following his time with Oberliga East. Sergerie was also active in coaching both prior-to and following his time at University. In 2015, Sergerie was hired as the Assistant Coach of the KC Centennials Minor Midget AAA program, beginning a tenure with the KC program that saw him earn the roles of Head Coach for both the KC Pats and KC Squires AAA programs. In 2019, Sergerie was named the EMHA Coach of the Year, AMBHL North Division Coach of the Year, as well as being recognized with the KC Hockey Merit Award that same year. His success as a coach saw him earn the role of Director of Coach and Player Development in 2020.

Director of Player Development/Power Skating Coach: Britney Millar
Britney Millar enters her 5th year with the Crusaders organization. Britney was first hired as the Power Skating Coach and now for the 2021/22 season, she has been promoted to the director of player development role. Britney will work closely with all of the coaching staff on the individualized development programming for all of the players. Britney has a professional playing and NCAA background that will allow her to help relate to players progressing from the Jr.A to the College
level.
Goalie Coach: Kurtis Mucha
Kurtis grew up in Sherwood Park and played his minor hockey in the SPKAC system. He enjoyed a successful bantam AAA season with his team, which ultimately led him to being drafted 25th overall in the WHL Bantam draft by the Portland Winterhawks. Making his WHL debut as a 15 year old, Kurtis went on to play 4.5 seasons with the Winterhawks and finished his 20 year old season with the Kamloops Blazers. After completing his 5 seasons in the WHL, Kurtis still ranks 1st in games played by a goaltender in the WHL’s history at 245, 2nd in minutes at 13,708, and 3rd in most saves at 6,908. Kurtis chose to utilize the WHL scholarship program and attended the University of Alberta from 2010 – 2015. He was very fortunate to be part of such a successful program, winning 4 league titles and 2 national championships in his time with the Golden Bears.
Upon graduation, Kurtis was provided the opportunity to get into coaching. Under the mentorship of Dustin Schwartz, Kurtis assumed the role as Director of Goalie Development at the Vimy Ridge Academy in Edmonton as well as the Goalie Development Coach of the Edmonton Oil Kings in the WHL. Kurtis has worked with the Spruce Grove Saints in the past and is currently with the Sherwood Park Crusaders of the AJHL. His coaching extends to many minor hockey associations in and around the Edmonton area.

Born and raised in Saint John, New Brunswick, Josh is entering his 5th season as the Head Equipment Manager, Head Athletic Therapist, & Director of Rehabilitation for the Sherwood Park Crusaders. Josh’s vast amount of hockey experience includes working as a student therapist for the Moncton Wildcats of the QMJHL, followed by three seasons in the VIJHL while pursuing his athletic therapy degree, and finally, working with the NHL’s Vancouver Canucks and San Jose Sharks prior to joining the Cru.Most recently, in the summer of 2019, Josh represented Hockey Canada and Team AJHL in Sochi, Russia as the Head Equipment Manager where the team’s success resulted in a silver medal. Josh’s education and knowledge is nothing short of extensive including a Personal Training Diploma, CSCS, Bachelor of Health Science specializing in Athletic Therapy, Sports First Responders, and numerous other sports-specific/rehabilitation-related certifications. Josh is also currently finishing up year one of the two year Registered Massage Therapy (RMT) program.
Physio Therapist: Myles Berlin
Myles was born and raised in Edmonton. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Alberta in 2014 followed by a Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2017. He has spent the last 6 years working with some of Edmonton's Elite U15, U16 and U18 Hockey Clubs (AEHL) and for Hockey Alberta's U16 program. He operates clinically out of Whyte Ave Sport and Spine in Central Edmonton where he specializes in sports rehabilitation.
Chiropractor: Shawn King
Dr. Shawn King grew up in the Sherwood Park area. He owns a practice in Sherwood Park, called Tailor Made Wellness. In his spare time, he enjoys playing sports and hanging out with his family.

Spencer Love is entering his fifth season as the marketing and media director of the Sherwood Park Crusaders. In 2016, Love joined the organization as a marketing intern, and shortly after was hired on full-time to direct the team’s marketing and media operations. In 2017, Love graduated from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology with his Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration on marketing. Since joining the Crusaders, Love has placed a priority on growing the team’s presence throughout Strathcona County and building not just a great hockey team, but a great community organization.

Liam has been with the Crusaders organization since the 2018-19 season as the Media Coordinator. His main role with the team is handling all their media platforms (Twitter, FaceBook, Instagram & Youtube). Since his arrival, the team has become one of the top media outlets in the Alberta Junior Hockey League. Liam is also heavily involved in the Crusaders community work.

Academic Advisor: Roberta Cannon
Roberta Cannon is the Sherwood Park Crusaders new Academic Advisor in the 2021/2022 season. With her vast experience, Roberta is able to help players navigate their academic path while living the demands of a student athlete. She comes to the Crusaders with years of experience at many levels in the education field: Teacher, Department Head, Assessment Specialist with AB Education, certification in teaching/assessing within the International Baccalaureate Program, and a contributor in Alberta curriculum high school course design. Her mentorship enables our players to achieve their personal best and work through any academic challenges along the way. She will work to support one of the Sherwood Park Crusaders' goals: to support our players in achieving their personal best academically, off the ice. By providing one on one academic weekly check-ins with the players, coordinating group meetings, setting up SAT and other standardized exam prep classes, and organizing exam writing dates, players will be encouraged to reflect and capitalize on their strengths as well as become aware of the areas in which they can improve. This will enable them to be available for hockey opportunities at the university/college level, hopefully through scholarship. As an educator and a hockey parent, Roberta understands the unique demands on student athletes and will work to support them in balancing all the demands they face.
Chapel: Dan Dromarsky
As team Chaplain Dan's roll is to be a safe spiritual and emotional resource person for players, personnel and the families involved with the Hockey Club regardless of one's personal church or non-church perspective. A hockey Chaplain explains Biblical principles that can help players deal with challenges on and off the ice. As an encourager, family man, coach, mentor and counselor Dan can often be found giving sound advice and a listening ear.
