The Maxwell Devonshire Gameday Preview: Crusaders vs Dragons

Sherwood Park, AB: The Sherwood Park Crusaders start their five-game road trip in Drumheller Friday night, where they will take on the high-flying Dragons at Drumheller Memorial Arena.

The Dragons have been setting teams alight this month, and they have not been shy of goals this month. They have scored 46 and conceded eight, as well as having back-to-back shutouts on home ice.

Drumheller has Daniel Allin to thank for keeping their opponents quiet. The Edmonton-born goaltender has .988% save rate and has shown why he is reliable in goal. His save rate was enough for him to commit to University of Alaska-Fairbanks for next season.

Another player who has good reason to be happy is forward Shane Ott. The Colorado native bagged a goal and an assist in Drumheller?s game against the Olds Grizzlys for his 100th AJHL point.

The two teams last faced each other at Sherwood Park Arena in October, with the Cru leaving 6-2 winners. Carter Savoie and Ty Mueller both scored twice in that game, and goaltender Carter Gylander stopped 31 out of 33 saves.

Fans who wish to see the game can head to Average Joe?s on Baseline Road. Puck drop is at 7:30 p.m.
