Wallin wants more

Sherwood Park Crusader captain Eric Liknes has been out with internal injuries since September, and will remain so until December, leaving the assistant captains to pick up the slack.

One of those men sporting the leadership core’s A is three-year Crusader veteran forward Garth Wallin.

While he may need that introduction for now, Crusader head coach and general manager Tim Fragle sees the 20 year old as a crucial part of the Cru’s game plan for the 2012-2013 season.

“Garth gives you everything he has every night,” Fragle said. “He works hard, he’s a smart player and really is a good team player. He does a lot of team things that don’t necessarily make front-page news. He’s more of a behind-the-scenes type of guy, but really important to our team.”
