Zac Maxwell Signs With Crusaders

Sherwood Park, AB: The Sherwood Park Crusaders are proud to announce the signing of forward Zac Maxwell (2003) from the Sherwood Park Kings U18 AAA program.

“Zac (Maxwell) will be joining the Crusaders for the remaining of the season,” said General Manager Kyle Chase. “He has a high skill level and has rounded his game to be a well balanced player.”

Maxwell is a 5’9″, 150 lb forward from Sherwood Park, Alberta. He spent his U18 AAA hockey with the Sherwood Park Kings of the Alberta Elite Hockey League.

In his first season with the Kings, Maxwell dressed in 32 games scoring 13 goals and 19 points. He followed that up with two points in a five game series against Fort Saskatchewan in the postseason. During their brief 2021 season, Maxwell was named the captain of the U18 AAA Kings and put on a dominant offensive display. In only six games, he scored nine goals and. 16 points to lead the league.

Maxwell dressed in one game for the Crusaders in the 2019-20 season. He played in the teams final game of the regular season against the Whitecourt Wolverines on the road.

The Crusaders would like to welcome Zac, his parents Kelly and Ryan, and the rest of the Maxwell family to the organization.
